Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC)
While not a grant-giving group, this HM Revenue & Customs website outlines tax-break opportunities for community sports clubs.
Gift Aid repayments to be made easy for clubs
From April 2013, Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) and charities can make Gift Aid repayment claims electronically, making the process cheaper and more accurate and saving volunteers time and money. The new service, called Charities Online, is being introduced in response to customer feedback to make repayment claims quicker and easier by filing online. It will also be compatible for when CASCs or charities want to make claims under the new Gift Aid Small Donations scheme. For more information about Charities Online visit the HMRC website.
