Coaching Bursary
To ensure a lasting legacy from London 2012, Active Sussex has created its first county-wide Coaching Bursary scheme, to provide financial support for up to 150 sports coaches over the next three years.
The bursaries, to be awarded on a case-by-case basis, will help Sussex sports coaches become better qualified by meeting 75 per cent of the cost of their training.
The opportunity is open to coaches from any sport recognised by Sport England, the national organisation for grassroots sports development.
The bursary is designed to work as a development pathway for Sport Makers wishing to take their involvement in sport further, and also as a standalone opportunity for existing coaches.
