"The shirts have made us feel very professional" – Worthing Wolves and Wolverines in their new kitDuring this momentous Olympic year, Active Sussex silver tier partner Chandlers Building Supplies is keen to involve children in sport and physical activity by sponsoring local sports groups in West Sussex.
Chandlers are proud sponsors of Kenagi Academy Karate club in Horsham, where the company's support recently helped three Horsham teenagers pass the prestigious Kenagi Karate Black Belt grade.
The builders' merchant has also sponsored Worthing Werewolves and Worthing Wolverines Hockey team. The first time they played in their new kits both U12 teams came away victorious. The boys won 10-1 and the girls 4-1.
Eight-year-old Connor McAllister, the Werewolves goalkeeper, said: "The whole team think that the shirts are awesome. They have made us all look really smart and feel very professional on the pitch."
Richard Skinner, Commercial Director of Chandlers Building Supplies said: "Chandlers are great supporters of junior sports. With the Olympics and Paralympics coming up it is a great time to encourage children to keep active and healthy by getting involved in sport. I am delighted Chandlers have been able to help out the clubs."
