
Active Sussex and leading UK sports charity Sported are hosting two 'how to secure funding' workshops on 22-23 Oct for clubs, community and voluntary groups.

• 22 October – Millennium Chamber, The Manor House, Church Street, Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN17 5EW
• 23 October – Freedom Leisure, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 3JA
Timings for both events are:
5:45pm – Arrival at venue and meet sported. Regional Manager Paul Napthine/Active Sussex Team
6:00pm - Presentation for potential Members and registration to join sported's free membership. Groups coming along to register interest in membership can then attend the funding workshop
6:30 – 7:45pm - 'How to succeed in securing funding workshop' including some actual funds to apply for including sported. small grant and information from Active Sussex
Admission is free. The workshoprs are open to any community group, voluntary organisation or sports club that delivers sport to meet one of these outcomes:
- Building stronger communities
- Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour
- Removing barriers to participation for marginalised groups
- Developing young people by providing them with skills for the workplace and life
- Education in health and wellbeing
